Is There a Free Alternative to Photoshop?

Most of us would rather not have to sell their best china just to edit some photographs, and thankfully there's a free solution called PhotoDemon. 

PhotoDemon has a lot of the professional features you expect from Photoshop - like layers, adjustments and effects, and it's designed to be easy to use.

If you want to create leaflets, invitations and newsletters in a flash then Canva is the place to go. It's both a website and smartphone app and is stuffed with lots of features like templates, text and stickers. This one's free but you do have to pay to unlock some of the extra features. 

While some find Canva to be more user-friendly, you could also try Adobe's own Adobe Express which is online only (just like Canva), has similar features to Canva and has a free plan too.
